Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec A bohemian aristocrat, Henri de Toulouse - Lautrec (1864 - 1901) portrayed the life of the theaters, night spots, and brothels where he spent most of his time in Paris at the end of the 19th century. His extraordinary capacity for observation, his pungent spirit and realistic treatment of subjects make him one of the most resolutely modern painters of his era. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
